hi guys,
Thank you for your interest. Indeed it is exam time which means 'oh fuck why did i stop going to lectures after week 1, i'm never doing that again, next semester ill keep on top of things, i want to end my life'
However this time I am pretty calm for these exams (probably a very bad sign). The modules I'm doing (Contemporary Issues, Small Business and Public Economics) are all essay based so it's not a concern of 'how the fuck does this work' or 'what the fuck? how can we learn 40+ graphs' or even 'what the fuck is reverse implied heteroskedasticity'.
so far for contemp. i've done 4 of the 5 topics (well, written up the lecture notes into my own handwriting). trying to do bonetti's groups tonight (haven't done any work in last 28 hours due to may ball) but there is a bugger load of readings. if anyone here has done them and can give me a summary of each reading (email or i could photocopy) i'll donate £50 to a charity of their choice.
as for small business, i've again written up all the notes but haven't learnt any of it, but doesn't look too hard.
and for public economics there is a lot to learn (from what i make of it 15 topics, each can have 1-2 essay questions, and we have to pick 3 from 6-7 in exam) but ive written up almost all of the notes so just a case of learning them.
plus i guess i started pretty early, i quit online poker 6 weeks ago or so to help me get some work done (just meant i drank even more, but still helped a bit).
so plan is by lunchtime tomorrow to of gotten all the lecture notes written up for every subject, then spend tomorrow afternoon and evening on small business and public finance revision. then tuesday-friday learning/revising contemp issues notes. then saturday afternoon-monday night public finance notes. then tuesday afternoon - wednesday night small business.
is also a help to calm me that i need about 10.7 this semester after the coursework ive got back so far so hopefully so long as my other essays still to get back are around 13s all i should need in the exams are to average around a high 9/low 10.
i just need to make sure i have enough of it mildly well covered so i can always have a good stab at each essay i do in the exam.
cant wait till these are over; 3 months of online poker, pubs/bars, hopefully a few holidays. then potentially 40 years of accountancy. wwwoooooooo!!!! although my life expectancy is about february 2008 so it won't be that bad.
good luck all, and if anyone has done the readings for contemp issues/bonetti's groups stuff please email me their notes or i could photocopy them and ill ship the donation to whoever. if nobody on here does this module no worries.
have a good evening,
chris
