I love Eurovision. Yet again the accusations of block voting and eastern european bias. All this ignores the fact that we have released consistantly poor entries
I was most surprised at the fact that non-Eastern bloc countries gave some of their top points to the Serbian ballad entry. Turkey and Greece's popularity I could understand, as they were high-energy entries similar to Ukraine's recent win with Ruslana (i.e. the Xena one).
I have nothing against a good ballad, and was pleasantly surprised that slower songs can win these days in the ESC. But I would have rather seen Hungary or even Germany's cute but luke warm swing number score high than Serbia.
Maybe I just need to go back and watch it again.
Oh... and ... we met Scooch at the semi-finals in Helsinki. Yeah we did. We have photos and everything.
