Breaking from threads about Bri and HSBC I have a message.

I would just like to thank the fantastically kind and honest person who handed my fleece in to the Police yesterday.

After a drunken weekend I could not find it and it had my iPod in it which my girlfriend gave me. I last remember having the fleece on thursday and after having asked in the library and the Union I could not find it leaving me a bit down and annoyed with myself.

A visit to the Police Station has restored some of my faith in humanity (shock) and I would like to say how happy I am. This is one of the best things that has happened to me for a while. My things have been restored to me and someone has proven themselves to be a thoroughly decent person.

I am puzzled as to how I could lose it on thursday/friday and how it could then be found at St.Mary's Quad on Sunday at 2pm as I have not been there for ages. Still, who cares!? It's fantastic that I have it back.

I hope the Police hand on the reward and I hope other people will be encouraged to hand things that they find to the Police or other authorities.

Stranger things happen. I got a wallet back this weekend that was lost in Camden Town tube station, complete with the £38 in cash, a student ID, bus pass, provisional driving licence and 3 bank cards in it.

Last year I found a wallet on market street and i walked it over to the police who took my name, address etc. I got the NICEST call from a man who wanted to give me an award and I told him that that was not necessary at all that I was happy to help.

It feels good to do a nice thing :)

In the space of two weeks, I found that many wallets on the street and handed them into the police.

I never got any calls. :(

Edit: But yes, there is still some good left in the world.

I found an envelope with £200 cash in it on my street in st anderws and handed it in.

No one collected it.

I guess whoever lost it thought there'd be no chance of anyone handing the money in. I still get paranoid it beonged to my neighbour
