Police presence on Melbourne Place

Postby amac on Tue Jun 03, 2008 12:25 pm

Does anyone know why the police have been camped outside a house on Melbourne Place for the last 3 days? It all seems a bit odd...

I've been wondering this too. I know it's a bit much to of a stretch but might this have something to do with a 'Body Found in St Andrews' headline a friend of mine saw on some local rag yesterday?

According to a taxi driver I spoke to yesterday, a man was found dead there on Sunday. Can't say I know any more specifics than that, the Courier may have more.

Now there's a long overdue headline

"Paul Daniels found dead in dingy St Andrews flat"

Heard off someone today it might have been a suicide, hence the police/CID presence.Just out of interest, does anyone know when the last murder in St Andrews town was, and the circumstances?

Nope. St Andrews Police - 100% failure record in murder cases. They have a lot of other things to see to, in fairness...

Well that's not very appropriate, despite what you may think of the person who is now dead, I find that in very poor taste!

Not necessarily what I think, but it was names I had heard him called by.

Those do sound like identifier names rather'n personal opinions. Pub names, if you will.

Shame he died, walked past twice today and there were police hanging around. They had someone taking a vent off the (unused?) building a little further down the hill.

I should be a PI/reporter...

Also, some years later:

But if he hadn't died, you'd have nothing to report on. perhaps what you mean is 'shame I'm not a PI/reporter...'
