Jobs starting september

Hi I'll be returning to St Andrews very shortly (10th Sep) and staying so what kind of part-time jobs are available and where is the best place to find out about them.
Help much appreciated

Take a CV into all the bars/hotels....they will be looking but I'd get in the v.early - by the time i did it last year each place already had a large stack of applicants.

Union bar's not so bad n probably more jobs going that elsewhere.

I wouldn't do bar work at all - get in touch with the uni halls and see if any of them are looking for catering assistants. You'll only get maybe 10 hours a week but they pay more than £6 an hour and a shift basically involves 2 hours of serving food, cleaning up and then getting your dinner for free. It's the easiest job I've ever done.

When are they avaliable to get in contact with as i'm guessing there's no one there just now? Also would the best way be to go to individual halls with a CV?

To save the effort of going round them all, I'd give them a call first to ask if they have anything available (the numbers for all the halls are on the uni website). And i don't know about all the halls but DRA, McIntosh and New Hall are definitely open just now because they're used as hotels in the summer.
