What crisis?

Since March, as of today, for some reason my holdings seem to be worth 18.5% more than they were seven months ago...

There's no crisis, if you know what you're doing.
So someone asked me "What is it you do?". I thought about it for a minute. Then I thought about it a little more. All the while I probably looked like I was staring in to space, struggling for an answer. And I was. There was only one response I could really give.

Gealle's gone massively long on TK Maxx, Poundsave, Yates's Wine Lodges and Chicken Cottage, by the sounds of things...

Actually, I switched to a decent set of gilts at the right time and have since split back up into quite a few promising funds including BlackRock Gold & , Mott's Psigma One, and Neptune's Russia & Greater Russia amongst others. I think the important thing for most people to keep in mind though is that drip feeding right now is gonna be a lot safer than bulk transfers.

Believe it or not, despite the turmoil, I've stayed pretty static over a three week period.

Honestly folks, it's NOT that hard to keep out of mischief.

Well, the pound has dropped its value against the dollar significantly. It's not that long ago £1 would get you over $2, now it's around $1.50. :?

Oh, go cry about it! When I started at St Andrews a pound would get you $1.28 and life was good.

Yes, but when you started at St Andrews you were getting £1 FOR $1.28, and I'm sure life was very good indeed! :P
