Count me in! :)

I realise that although I thought I'd invited everyone, I didn't get the word round to enough people about Saturday's BBQ, though as I only really decided to do it on Friday afternoon, that did make it a bit tricky to spread the word.
I also tried using Facebook as the word-spreading medium (well, it does say that it helps me connect and share...) and now I realise that not EVERYONE relies on it (praise be! there IS intelligent life outside FB!) Setting up a Facebook group after 25 hours without sleep, 18 of which were spent working/counting doesn't work very well...

So if we get this together with a fortnight to go, and nothing breaks in the meantime, there should be sufficient notice, and if people are still communicating in the old fashioned way (talking to each other), then no one should be left out!

The Orange Egg sounds intriguing! (and is it just me, or is Mr Foo somewhat remeniscent of Moshgirl in that piiigggg photo?)

My dissertation is due in Monday. Then I get to catch up with all the work I havent been doing for my modules because of it. I shall be saving up my barbeque spam for when the real summer gets here I think.

Meat, meat and more meat - plus a little salmonella. Vegetarians take note: barbecues are for meat, not vegetables. In fact, the only addition required at a BBQ is a pack of bread rolls to stuff more meat into. Salad is for rabbits to eat, then you eat the rabbits.

Method:
  • Obtain BBQ (or open flame-proof container)
  • Pile on charcoal
  • Add cup of lighter fluid/petrol
  • Strike match and lob-in from a semi-safe distance
  • Pat-out flames on eyebrows
  • Go away and drink beer for 2 hours until charcoal is all grey and hot
  • Cook meat until a good vet can get it back on its feet, whilst drinking beer; it's also OK to give the cooking meat a drink of beer too
  • Be careful if spit-roasting and be suitably protected
  • Retrieve meat from BBQ and eat
  • Go back to step 7 until no meat left
  • Find random objects to burn until you run out of beer
  • Retire
Statistics: The only science that enables different experts using the
same figures to draw different conclusions.

Safety first. You can't retire until you've extinguished that fire and by this point you should have an ample supply of processed beer fluid desperate to escape it's prison and be freed all over the flames.
