blank cds

Postby MercuryAnna on Tue Apr 29, 2003 10:42 pm

I'm needing some blank cds before the end of term... anyone know a good place where I can get them? In St Andrews.. or, barring that, Dundee?

I'd probably be buying in bulk, but not too much bulk... at least 5 but not more than 50. Price is an issue.

Help me out, you information gods and goddesses... :)

BESS in the onion (outside, near the bike racks) sometimes has some good offers, I just got 20 orange ones there.

22 for £9.99 at Woolies
In America they think 100 years is old and in Britain they think 100 miles is far.

Kodak, 10 for £3.99

Postby RaphX on Wed Apr 30, 2003 8:07 am

Price can also depend on whether they come in a spindle or in cases. I just bought 10 in cases, from Kodak, for £3.49 (seeing as I was picking up pictures also).

Microshop's best value I think. As colacube said it's only £8 for 50! I assume cc is right with that price.

They used to sell nice ones which were white on non data side so you could write on them and they look better, but I think they stopped them a little while ago, or maybe they'd just run out. Anyone know if they are still doing them?

Think they're still doing them, they just tend to run out as it nears their stock day (whenever that is).

I was there earlier, and got 2 spindles of 25, for £4.50 each. Much better than the 25 for £15 that they tend to sell at GAME.
According to the box, they're 32X, 80min and 730mb.

I also bought my 50 at Microshop a few weeks ago. However at that time they were 50 for 7.50. Not much of a difference of 50p, but still, it's quite good. A good friend of mine gets them for just about the same price at a HUGE discount comp place ("off the beaten path") in Glasgow, so yes, they are a great deal.
And they work :)
