Ah, I was going to ask who we were up against - as my newspaper is being recalcitrant - but I see that's already been answered. Still, got the thread back into circulation, so I've done my bit for my old alma mater.

Yes, well done indeed.
Though i do have to say the team did seem to take Aaaages on the first bunch of questions, which i suppose worked to advantage, and we laughed when we heard "root or follicle" just as we were having that discussion.

Well done to the team, though I have to wonder if they weren't involved in a conspiracy to make Eliot say embarassing and/or in-jokey things on national television. Think about it: in the first round he had to say "Gollum", and in this one, even better, it was "Miranda".

Well done all!

You have enabled us to hold our heads up high again, after the shame of the Normington years.

Most impressive! Was proud to be a graduate. Except for missing on the one Scottish question...
In America they think 100 years is old and in Britain they think 100 miles is far.

A superb performance. Wasn't too sure they would do it at the beginning but thankfully I was wrong.

Yay! :)

Unfortunately study dictated that I miss it.

But congratulations to the team.

Well, boys and girls, as I said in my last posting on this thread, St Andrews' quarter-final match, against St Edmund's College, Cambridge, will be screened on March 8th, which, as the sharp-eyed among you will have observed, is this coming Monday. The usual drill, BBC2, 8:30pm. I assume (one for Mr Spiers here) that the Union will again be showing it?

I may not be the correct Ben, but I feel able to answer this one. Yes, it's on in the Union.

Don't do yourself down, Ben! You may not be the Ben he meant, but there's no reason to assume you're the wrong Ben.
