They don't need to be a registered charity, as they are not raising money for themselves, which is why one would become a registered charity. Instead, they are raising money for others. Ergo, they are not eligible to be a regsited charity.
For a society to be affiliated to the Union, they need to abide by the terms and conditions of the Union, one of which is that membership should be open to any matriculated students in the University. This is why the CU and KK, among others, are not affiliated.
For people to unfairly critise the KK without knowing anything about it is childish, stupid, and a waste of time. Unless people actually can substantiate what they are saying, then they might as well take their baseless petitions elsewhere.
