1. If anyone else gives me a treeful of leaflets I will give you paper cuts on your eyes.

2. Individually folding up and then cramming 10 pieces of paper in to a small box is not good election practice.

3. To the group of girls who I over heard saying "Ooo who has the nicest name, I don't know half of these people!" - If you don't know who you are voting for DONT VOTE

Was anyone else completely disgusted by the voting process today? The queues, the inefficiency (at least at Physics) of signing every piece of paper while people waited, the lack of access to the information booklets, the sheer VOLUME of paper you had to deal with, and the waste as well. All of that could have fit on two, maybe three double-sided sheets. By the time you got to the end of the stack, name after name not recognized, you really did stop caring. Has it always been like this? I really like the atmosphere created, but voting itself seemed seriously flawed to me

^Brian, I didn't know your name before you stood for election. If you don't recognise names don't vote or read the frigging booklet (online before the day if necessary).

I agree that a huge amount of waste goes into it, but I am guessing that they divvy the papers up and have different people counting each colour to make the process quicker. You couldn't really do that with two double sided sheets.

I think we need to develop an online system and do away with the paper altogether.
