Not too sure about number 2 on this list (worded that way in case anyone would rather not read spoilers) - I'm not sure I understand why they changed that bit from the book. And where are the Houses of Healing in all this?
Most of the rest of it sounds good though. What does anyone think?

I think it's pretty much down to time. If they followed the books - then they'd have to have had the whole Scouring the Shire thing and really, that could have been another film in itself and that film dragged on long enough as it was.

I've seen a few bits of footage from the EE (namely, a second here and there of the paths of the dead and Aragorn consulting the Palantir) and have an idea of what the Mouth of Sauron will look like from the EA games ROTK game for the PC. it's a good laugh.
