Text messaging is out of control. Maybe this guy left his computer for a minute, perhaps to pee, came back, and saw ten goddamn text message screens and just decided to close them all before replying. St Andrews is a small fucking town so walk your lazy ass across the street to where ever this guy lives and go out with him. This is like a fucking Seinfeld episode. This guy isn't replying, because like me, his attention span on a computer lasts for about two minutes. He wouldn't have started emailing/texting you proclaiming his ever lasting love if he didn't want to have a relationship. Be more confident, more assertive, stop text messaging, stop over analyzing everything, and go get this guy...in person. Do it.

Methinks you confuse text messaging (on a mobile phone) with Instant messaging (IM, on a computer).

Original person: call him up and don't hang up until you get a yes or no answer. Amateur psychoanalysis based on unanswered and possibly undelivered SMS messages is futile unless you're on American TV.

get a grip woman. its just one guy who hasnt been arsed to text you back yet, most likely becuase he's run out of credit or is being lazy. just leave it, if he replies, good stuff, meet up and whatever if not, sod it.

you should never let one person control how your feeling, never good for one's state of mind.

JAK, you are quite right. I was mistaken, but that makes things even worse. I'd rather see this girl have a relationship through a computer than through text messaging on a cell phone. I mean she's got the phone in her hand so she might as well call the guy. Then her eyes won't bug out of her head because she's squinting so hard trying to see the tiny key pad on the phone. Text messaging on phones should be for short notes, like "be at bar-15 minutes" not for starting and maintaining relationships while texting, "so what are you thinking about?" The perfect text message is one that doesn't need a reply. The recipient just does what is told of them, and if they don't...fuck'em. This girl should therefore text "i'll be at (Bar of Choice) at (Time of Choice)."

I thought girls went for guys who were rude to them, showed little or no interest, didn't act in any way sensitive or caring, and humiliated them in public?
