I beleive ... although I could be wrong ... that Maryland does have the death penalty ... but that they're going with Alabama because the process is quicker there ... fewer appeals allowed I guess, and the criteria needed to execute somebody is broader ... I think they just have to be poor and black ... so, result.

i go to a small private school in maryland, which hired a policeman to sit by the entrance to the school. often after a shooting occurred, we'd be dismissed early. i remember when i was driving home after the the first time that happened, there was a white van behind me and i really freaked out. speaking of which, whatever became of the "white van"?
