Maybe she killed the kid first, after all, she would have been under the same stress of caring for him - then, Benoit killed her in a rage upon finding his son dead.

No.

She died first.

A day later, Daniel died and a day after that, Benoit killed himself.

I hold an element of surprise

So, not being a forensic expert, I guess that they can determine the approximate time of death?

And this is interesting (from CNN):

ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- Investigators are looking into who altered pro wrestler Chris Benoit's Wikipedia entry to mention his wife's death hours before authorities discovered the bodies of the couple and their 7-year-old son.

Benoit's Wikipedia entry was altered early Monday to say that the wrestler had missed a match two days earlier because of his wife's death.

A Wikipedia official, Cary Bass, said Thursday that the entry was made by someone using an Internet protocol address registered in Stamford, Connecticut, where World Wrestling Entertainment is based.

Apparently it was a coincidence. The ironic thing is that in this gushing apology he apologises for posting incorrect information when, in fact the information he posted turned out to be true.

As we all know, wikipedia can be rielied on for its 100% factual content, etc etc.

Everyone is setting it up like a greek tragedy.
I guess we will have to wait and see what the investigation turns up.

The only thing this theory does not explain is how Nancy came to be tied up

That was what Humphrey's post dealt with. An odd case: a friend of mine informed me of it via MSN last night, but by this morning it had blown over after the poster 'outed' himself (he'll probably have been questioned by the police for verification by now). The really odd thing about it was the Stamford link, but in this case it seems it really was a coincidence.

Latest real news is that the police "raided" Benoit's doctor's surgery - I use the quotation marks because presumably all they really did was execute a search warrant to get hold of his medical records and a few other bits.

In case anyone's interested, the tribute episode of Raw is now up on the site I mentioned earlier, but it might take ages to download if you aren't a member of Rapidshare.
