Hey, I signed up to this pain in the arse a while ago, i thought a nice challenging game for people who deserved 10,000 quid, or maybe just really wanted a ipod! Its quite simple, the clues come up but some times u have to look around for them a bit as the centre of certain cities don't give you the points exactly.

Guessing they must still be testing their awful server but mine is workign this morning, even the first video wasn't showing on my comp last night however!

Reckon they should start it again properly if i'm honest but that won't happen!

Like most of you last night's balls up by shell really annoyed me, particularly when people started appearing on the leaderboard so someone was obviously able to do it. Once Google Earth is working properly for you it should be fairly straight forward. I won't spoil it too much for you but here is a big clue.

Theo starts in London but this has nothing to do with the GTL they are trying to highlight. He then goes to ATHENS where the Olympics was held... Then to MALAYSIA- more specifically there is a Shell plant there that produces the GTL fuel. Google that plant and you will find out which town the plant is in... Hey presto your answers should start with C and B respectively.

Hope that helps you all. Lets hope they manage to solve all the glitches for next week

I followed Theo - found where the plant is located, but there is no Geotag there or nearby!!! This is annoying me coz I just cant let it drop! Any hints...

Zephyr... Maybe you have to type the name of the place in GE. I did it and it just went the GEOTAG. Make sure you tick the box of Geopursuite in GE left-hand panel.

Hi... I got the one where the GTL plant is but do not get the first one. According to your clue, it must be in Athens, starting with C ??? I have checked Pathenon and Acropolis ... but no luck.

found it in athens but by complete luck when i flew to athens from bintulu, just saw it, bollocks or what. i even found the exact building he did the lecture in, that wuda been better.

Got it to work at last, it only took 24 hours! At least I haven't lost any points to the leaders after this debacle.

Those struggling with the clues should remember who is promoting themselves here and think about their sites at the places instead of the touristy sites.

Close Google Earth, and open it again with the file from Shell.
It happen the same thing to me, and after it works

I have tried lots of times to do this now and the code just wont show for bintulu and the gtl pant there. I have even re-installed google earth!

I think if they are going to run a competition they should have checked all this stuff and made it fair!!
