since love is a word created by humans to describe a certain feeling, it has to exist, or else the word would not exist and we wouldn't be talking about it.
The love that may or may not exist, that you are talking about, isn't actually love at all. It's the stereotype of what love is. What we feel love should be due to what we've seen in the movies and every other form of media that has bombarded us since we could first read/write/hear.
The "love" as we're told exists may not exist at all.
BUT love DOES exist. This isn't even open to debate.
It's like when teachers in RE classes said "when you're hit by a bus, are you really hit by it? because there is a thin layer space between the molecules of you and the molecules of the bus", and you wanted to strangle them and point out the obvious. HIT is a word that was used long before people knew about molecules and so forth, so it meant what happened when, say, a bus drove into you, or more likely someone landed a blow on you with a club. By definition this is what it means to hit.
People shouldnt confuse what a word means with other ideas that the word conjours up.
Love definately exists. It just may be a delusion, rather than what hollywood tells us love is.
Love came first, then came what people assumed it meant.
