That annoying little tw*t on the Frosties advert.

Yes, I know "they're gonna taste great" so stop making my ears bleed you little sh*t.

Also, the bouncing ball advert song is by Jose Gonzales, "Heartbeats"

Oh, and I love the "Beleive" Mars ads haha.

That kid annoys me so much too - well, to be honest he creeps me out more than he annoys me. Either way, just get him off the TV now, thanks.

Personally, I found the fact that they were plastered all over Scotland slightly annoying, but the alleged 80% drop in sales and adjusted campaign were pretty funny :P

I love the Bravia advert, and the music in it, but I'll point out that Jose Gonzales covered Heartbeats by fellow Swedes, The Knife. The original, especially the version performed on OneMusic (Feb 17 2005) is definitive.

Oh, don't be ridiculous, I'm not racist at all. I'm just bemused by the fact that the media automatically assumes all Scottish people support England, and want to hear every last detail of the England World Cup campaign.

Also the one that reeeeeeeeallllllly bugs me is the one with the double decker bus that changes colour, with the shall we say 'oriental' people being amazed by the bubbles, you know? The music to that aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg

It's the voice that scares me, particularly the second one (they usually show two per ad break) with the "we like football!" bit.
If Jack Bauer was put in a room with Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler and Nina Myers and handed a gun with two bullets, he'd shoot Nina twice.

I'll agree, but that should be extended to the presumption that everyone is interested in the World Cup as a whole, never mind the England team in particular.

What needs to be remembered is that roughly 85% of the UK is English, so I doubt a big American company like Mars is bothered enough about the other 15% to make region-specific alterations to their advertising, as unfair as that may seem.

The sad thing about the media is that for all the complaining we do, they're simply giving us what we ask for. I'm sure if there was enough demand from Scottish viewers, STV and BBC Scotland would have no problem replacing any broadcasts relating to English football with River City, De-A-Nis, Beachgrove Garden or one of the many other high quality programmes we've come to expect from Scottish broadcasting over the years.

Also, just because Scottish people don't support England doesn't necessarily mean they don't want to hear about it. Naturally, there are those for whom up-to-date information is vital, so they can stock up on the flags and football shirts of yet another country they couldn't place on a map.

I'll agree that if I were living in England I would probably not want to be bombarded with news of the Scottish team, were they to qualify, but I would probably support them if I were a football-loving type. After ten years of living in Scotland, the anti-English attitude I experienced at school and my parents have had to tolerate at work, throughout the various tournaments, has in some cases been pathetic and offensive, and nothing short of racist.

The STANA advert with various o;d people testin it out, all looking far too happy given the fact that they now rely on a chair lift...

'And what's the name of the greatest stair lift in Sweden?
"Stana!"

And in Portugal?
"Shtana!"

And in the USA?
"Stay-na"

And in Papua New Guinea?' and so on...
Multiculturalism to the max.

And what's with the pervy Asda slapping bums ads? They have pissed me off for at least a decade.

And sofa ads? They can't even sell a piece of furniture without some muscular bloke mounting some poor unsuspecting female who always happens to be immaculately dressed, just sitting there, massaging the gorgeous leather beneath her manicured feet.

And finally that Kit Kat one with the two women in an office sitting at desks less than a metre apart, e-mailing each other over some hapless chap then uniting to snaffle their kitkats together. Ridiculous and it makes women look like they have nothing better to do than discuss the office totty.

Definitely the Old El Paso one, where the guy's making dinner while his girlfriend acts like a complete knob, complaining about it on the phone. There are three things very wrong with this advert.

1. Her accent is truly hideous, especially the way she says these things:

"Did you get that?... Aromatic spices... yeah!"

"I'll call you later, if I'm still alive."

2. If I was making dinner, and my girlfriend was constantly slagging me off, I'd be pretty pissed off.

3. The guy isn't a realistic person, because his girlfriend is annoying, ugly and ungrateful. If she carried on at this rate, she'd be not only dumped, but she'd not be able to call her mate later either.

Actually, there are region-specific alterations in Scotland and Northern Ireland (don't know about Wales), still using the 'Believe' slogan, but with the idea being to believe these countries can make it to the 2010 world cup.

re NSPCc: I don't really care about those, but the animal equivalent (RSPCA or what is it?!) is just horrible. Especially the little cat meouwing awfully - I always thought our cat had gotten herself trapped somewhere - gruesome!

-the "quote me happy" Norwich Union one

The best ad at the moment is the Frosties advert. Look at the guys face as he's singing right at the end of the ad - itll crack you up.

The Herbal essences ones are funny, albeit unintentionally. Bad dubbing, weird logic behind them of 'Using our shampoo makes you come', imagine if they were targeting men with the ad.

'Mmmmmmm, mmm, mmm - nah, think I'll stick to wanking'.
