Well Oli - if that was a question to me - which i am assuming it was - i would love to but unfortunately have Union Duties on from 8 til 1.30am, so will be working. Ironic i guess, that the opportunity to meet you guys, is spoilt by me doing my job.

I do apologise for all this political arguing - trust me, i myself hate it. I am only a student doing the best i can but then i get slated for saying what i feel and especially slated by people like Fluke. It's doesn't provide much confidence in my belief that some people are actually mature enough to understand others.

I think, i may know who fluke is and considering i never get to speak to him (if its who i think it is) and he merely looks down on me - his statement is noted and then ignored. Oh and about the money making post - well that was me being a student and trying to get some extra cash - but soon as James told me i was not allowed, i have not done it again. I did not know the rules of this site - it was not malicious.

If there is another dinner, tell me and i shall come - of course if thats okay, with all the people on here who seem to have never known me as a friend and seem to hate me.

Thanx anyway, it would have been great to come.

While trying to remain impartial, it does seem like the apparently "small" minority of people who dislike Darshy is actually quite considerable, it is of course unfair to judge someone by proxy.

That said, based purely on behaviour on this board I find it hard to classify you Darshy as anything other than a petulant kid - but I imagine that it would be pretty hard for us to meet as presumably all of your time since your election has been without a spare moment, otherwise surely you would have actually achieved something?

Darshan, the fact that I slated you does not make me immature. I think you'll find that most people give their opinions on matters affecting the general population (in this case of students) freely. This is a public forum and you are a public figure elected to represent people. If the people that you represent want to make a comment about how well you are doing your job perhaps you should pay some attention.

You seem to believe you know who I am, you see it's points like this where you let yourself down. There are some 6000 students here all of whom can access the sinner freely, assuming you know who it is kind of a large assumption to make. It also points to the fact that you think the people around you don't think much of you.

I think the year of a student is quite important when commenting on student issues. For example a student who has been here two or three years knows far better how the system works then a first year.

It's also obvious that you're going to need to stand for a new position on the SRC soon anyway - you'll be moving out of first year soon so you won't exactly be able to hold the position of first year SRC.


I don't know perhaps I am too harsh and you are just the type of person that generally pisses me off.
But I would be interested to hear some of the work you've done to help students since you've been here. I mean the work you have done personally.

is true. Its something I've been meaning to do for a long time, write up informal posting guidelines and publish them. There are none at the moment.

Also, from the Election Rules for The Sinner :- "And if a Registered user wants to seriously grill a candidate in a personal way, then there St. Andrews email address should be displayed in there profile. "

I disagree with your post. If someone voices their opinion, like darshan did and had the right to do, it is another persons right to voice their opinion. Now in this case Darshan was talking about the work that he has done as a member of the SRC therefore others have a right to say how they feel he has done.

For example Tony Blair wants to go to war, yet the people opposed to him have the right to say so and to protest against this. Or they have the right to back him up.

To say for example that I can say all women are stupid (I do not belive this by the way, just an example) and that women, or men for that matter, do not have the right to disagree by posting their own opinion is rather foolish.

In the same way, if he starts a thread about himself, and people disagree with what he says about himself, then it is ok to then discuss himself. If he had not wanted this he should not have started this thread.

It would be out of line for me, or any other user, to start a thread saying 'what do you think about Darshan'? But that's not what happened - he himself started the discussion, opening up the discussion to reach this point.

If you think i am what you say i am - then get to know me and you will realise otherwise. I do not ever mean to hurt or annoy anyone intentionally, and as u said - maybe i am just the kinda guy who annoys u anyway. So, what your saying is that, no matter how much i do, it is never going to make a difference.

Well here is the deal - if you want to know what i have done or tell me why you think i am such an "arrogant, pretentious prick", then please tell me to my face. You see, i have nothing to be arrogant or pretentious about - i am not special, so how exactly am i who you say i am? What annoys you, is that I take part in uni life.

The reason i said i knew who Fluke was and now know who you are, is because you have posted about me on other forums and i knew who you were then.

To be honest, I am not worried that your slagging me - what worries me is that your not intelligent enough to understand someone. Its a real shame.
