Drugs in St Andrews

There was a thing in the paper over the summer (can't remember which one) about people using dangerous keepawakey drugs to help them revise for longer. And cocaine being popular with 'upper class students' - my gran made a point of showing it to me.

I've never done drugs before, but I am thinking of experimenting, could I get some advice of any casual soft users as to whether its a good idea or not?

Marrijuanna is good in small doses(For me), i did to much and it turned me into a nervous wreck when on it. It all depnds on how the perception of your world is distorted by the substance. Some people get really paranoid, others just laugh at the people who are paranoid. But you cant beat that first bout of giggles after smoking for the first time. And music just blows you away.

Ecstacy turns you into a jibbering wreck that loves inanimate objects. And you look like you are trying to chew your own face of whilst contaminated.
Although you aint appreciated dancing to music untill you have taken E, you become one with the tunes man.


If you want to take acid, i suggest you take a few days of your normal life, for it is long term high, around eight hours. And the come down is a battle of your concious coming back to reality and wanting to stay in your own little world.

The trips could be good, where you have a magical experience and see the world as it really is or bad where you freak out and see the world as it really is. Either way you aint coming back for a long time. It all depends on how sensitive you are. The creative, imaginative person could have a life changing experience, whereas the ignoramous could just laugh for eight hours at his mate's metamorphisis into a telephone box.

Where as speed just keeps you awake for long periods of time, when you would rather get some sleep.


My advice, just stick to a good old pint of Erdinger.

It really does depend on your frame of mind and outlook.

If you are emptionally unstable never take hallucinogens. You'll freak out and go crazy.

As for that most common of recreational drugs, the old joint, it's good if you use good quality stuff. No resin, it's not worth it. Again - your state of mind is a factor.

I'd go talk to the psychology department - the things they will tell you about drug use will scare the SHIT out of you.

Not even technically but definitely - so are caffeine and nicotine, it's just that they've been deemed safe and compared to the "real" drugs, that's certainly true.

I mean, it's now becoming increasingly common to say that one E can permanently alter your brain chemistry and so on.

Alcohol is great with 5000+ years of field testing.
