Anyone care to explain?

Is the disciplinary investigation for stealing the lion or deleting the thread? I'm confused...

I think it's because of the alleged theft of the lion costume. I heard it cost £400, so I can understand why some people are pretty upset.

They shouldn't have left it lion around.

*Runs away*

Actually, am I right in inferring that someone was stupid enough to steal the costume and then post a thread showing that they'd stolen it?

What'll it be next? A stolen garden gnome sending postcards back to its owner?

I posted the picture but did not steal the costume, so no. I found it unusual for a Lion to be in Ma' Bells so thought that posting the photograph would humour other individuals, like myself.

I have no idea why the thread has been deleted and/or why 'disciplinary action' is pending, as I have not violated any of the terms & conditions. Unless publishing photographs taken in a public place is illegal, or someone holds the copyright to either;

a) The Lion Costume in question

or

b) the phrase 'Lion Bar', which was merely a clever pun based on the comparison between the chocolate bar produced by Nestle and the fact that a Lion was present in a bar on a Friday afternoon.

Crazy college boys pulling more fancy pant antics, I'll wager.
A lion in Ma Bells? A charitable lion, nonetheless?
What will the bounders think of next?

Definition:
Generous in giving money or other help to the needy.

Well, Mr. Lion bought me a pint, so therefore is charitable. Twas' the 'mane' highlight of my Friday!

*sigh* If only all costumed characters were this nice...

I don't think there's much chance of this thread 'lion' dormant...

I don't think that this is something that should just be taken lion down.
There is a need to hunt down the mane culprit, and let them know who is King of the Jungle.
