Lost Sign

This appeared in the room of a friend of mine in Chattan.

you are requested Not to pick up LOST
BALLS
until they have stopped rolling

We took it round to a few pubs (it didn't stand its round. the bastard), and none of them claimed it, nor did the Links Clubhouse. The police said that nobody claimed it either.

Does anybody recognise the sign, or know of anybody who is a sign short?

its full width is bewteen six and seven feet, it has anils in the back, and they are covered in earth.

If golf has been ruled out... could it perhaps belong to those prestigious bowling club(s)? You know, like the one on Doubledykes.

I personally just hate it when I lose my bowling ball across the lawn, and some old todger picks it up before it stops rolling.

Quite.

It's been in McIntosh since freshers week last year, where it was a prized possession of the A-Floor collectors. I'm not too sure where they got it though.
