Did anybody else get an invite to the Stewart-St Andrews Bursary dinner? Its people with the surname Stewart or Stuart? I'm scared to go alone!

What an entirely bizarre idea for an event.

a friend of mine was invited to some such event, and then later received a bursary of around £500. Just for having Stewart as her surname.

I'm going. It's my 3rd year, so I'm not too fazed by it anymore. It's not scary, to be honest, just more than a little random. Basically you meet all the people at the uni with your own name, and a few older gentleman and ladies who want to reminisce about the time they spent here, and you make small talk for a few hours before they give you some money, you thank them profusely, then go home. It's a reasonably pleasant, if completely strange evening. It's certainly not too much to ask, especially seeing as they will be paying half my car insurance ;)
