the manchester captian was on good form-he seemed to know everything.
Paxman was being especially rude.he's a good presenter but a bit of a twat at times...he's like "good God no, how can you not know that?" and the ugly chick for manchester was like fuckin awful, atleast we had a go at the answers, she just sat there and watched. well done anyway St Andrews, at least we don't have to live in manchester!

We're meant to be a good uni but we get consistently thrashed in this. Why? Do they only select students from one department or something?

The team just had a bad day - that Manc captain was an encylocpedia.

What St Andrews needs to do is get a team together who come from History/Philosophy and Science backgrounds as it's obv that the questions are predonminately from those areas.

Anyhow well done to the team for making the effort to go on the show (and commiserations too). We need more Postgrads to come forward and try out for the team!

And to the team member who is my next door neighbour - nevermind eh - but at least you make a good Robin Hood! ;)

Well, not consistently.

Are we chalking this one up to bad luck or to the kind of incestious selection process we had a few years back?

Yes, you did quite well last year, didn't you? At least we saw the team on tv enough times that my flatmate recognised 'that bird-studying guy' when she saw him in town.

Nope only the top 4 worst teams contest another show and somehow I don't think we quite made it to the top 4! :(

Ah well never mind - there's always next year! :)

Who actually decides who goes in for this game? It seems to be the case that everytime I hear about the auditions for a place on the team, we do well. Everytime I don't, we do shit. If there was an audition process then it wasn't advertised well enough. If there wasn't would the idiot that picked the team admit they are an idiot and never do it without an audition again. Your idiocy reflects badly on us all.

Have to say that it was a poor state of affairs for us to get just 40 points. Ok, a loss is possible to understand, though to lose that heavily is a disgrace. The selection process for our team this year has clearly failed us. Roll on next year where, hopefully, there will be improved advertising for the selection process to extend participation. This should help us improve on tonights abysmal performance. Good luck manchester...

Stupid reply from an anonomous loser. Was it you how picked the team by any chance? It is quite obvious that the fact that I hadn't heard about the auditions was an indication of how well they were advertised, not that I know about everything that goes on and everything revolve around me. If you want to be a tool at least have the decency to register so I can humiliate you publicly

Yeah - will be back and relatively unbusy during January, so could meet up, if you like? Can email through profile.
