Who is the-ally?

Postby Superiorjames on Tue Jan 04, 2005 2:03 pm

It has become apparent that trying to reveal the identity of the sinner user, 'the-ally', is proving to be a real challenge. What differentiates this user from others is that they seem to know the identity of myself and a number of my friends, which is rather worrying...yet we have no idea who this character is!!!

Thus it has been decided to produce a list of possible candidates, along with the odds on them being the true person behind the mask of the name 'the-ally'. Here is the list as we have compiled so far...odds will be updated, and therefore alter, as other sinner users place their bets on who they believe it to be. Hence, participation of other sinner users is strongly encouraged!!!!
So...the list:

Who is 'the-ally'?
Stuart: 1/3
Dirac: evens
Olsen 15/8
Coffee-drinking-voice-up-at-end-of-sentences-girl: 2/1
Keith: 100/30
Small girl in lecture theatre...: 8/1
Big X: 12/1
Andreas: 20/1
Newcastle-shirt-man: 50/1
James G: 100/1
Brian Lang: 125/1

So place your bets and help reveal the identity of 'the-ally'!

(Other odds available on request...)

would the real superior james please stand up?

Postby gingerben on Tue Jan 04, 2005 2:25 pm

The real question is what is the true identity of the man they call superiorjames? Is it:

a) that guy with the ridiculous blonde hair
b) the sexy face of the halifax bank
c)some yorkshire punk
d) the inspiration for hit "comedy" bo selecta (I tell thee!)
e) the scourge of inferior
or d) all of the above.

The mystery continues. I tell thee...

after posting on the olsen thread, of the mt2002 class, this thread is a treat.
firstly because i myself, am unidentified, and that makes this game a real joy
and secondly cos it is the perfect distraction from not feeling great and dodging revsion.

i have no idea on the-ally btw, would put money on andreas, (good odds!) put they are probably a girl.
i think it is time for the-ally to at least dispell and untruths in your list so far superiorjames!

Im glad to hear that u are interested in this thread 5handicapgolfer!!! Such enthusiasm is much appreciated...the identity of the-ally is totally confusing now and it is time we reached the bottom of the problem! Money on andreas is a good choice, u have made a wise selection based on the odds my friend!
If correct, thou shalt receive a hearty return!!!!

i'll have two turnips + a red cross parcel on everyone except me.........

actually, i'll have a pony on Luke from the O.C.

anyone else notice that The Great Escape was confined to Sky Cinema this Christmas, rather than its logical home on itv?

Well, as i say, odds were available on request so here we go!

Edmund: 175/1

(a lack of confidence it seems in edmund being able to pull this off...hes just too much like a bear for this kind of identity mask operation)

i think you should just leave the-ally alone, s/he (not giving anything away) is a friend and supporter of mine ( http://www.thesinner.net/messageboard-v ... 057&page=8 ) and has the right to anonymity. i think thats where the name comes from though, you people are reading too much into it.

as it is however, i'll give you a really small epsilon on it being the coffee guzzler, who seems determined to burst into the lecture theater as unexpectedly as i do...

Pretty sure that it's not Gemma.

Am surprised that we haven't heard from the ally his/herself on this thread.

ahhhh....the-ally is attempting to break up my betting ring, haha! She has burst into this thread most unexpectedly and, with the-enemy, will probably present a really small epsilon to me very shortly. Id better start thinking of new ways to reveal their identity...
