Busted R.I.P.

Postby Big X on Fri Jan 14, 2005 9:16 pm

alas, the time has come, Busted have have unfortunatly split up. i for one will miss them. many berate them for their lack of musical talent, but i think they were a fun band who weren't out to annoy anyone, just to have a good time and entertain people, surely an admirable quality. some say that they never played their instruments live, this is a myth perpetuated by many of their videos (in which they leap around like maniacs)and possible some of their early stuff. i fully expect to come in for some abuse by some music snobs who think that anyone who doesnt appreciate the musical genius of people like the stone roses needs to be banned from ever having an opinion about music, but so be it. i like busted, and i'm going to miss them, who's with me?

possibly the only music group comprising of under forty year olds that openly declared their support for the Tories. yes the group will be sorely be missed... by the Conservatives. Busted may have been the best (and only) publicicty ticket the tories have had in years - not that their political beliefs will hold much sway over their all-screaming, all-female fanbase. now there's a thought.

But I hear Elton john is waiting in the wings to take over the mantle of token celebrity tory supporter for 2005... no seriously, he is.

I hate Elton John, I really do. And the Tories.

lets not fuck about; they were awesome and i will treasure my copies of their musical offerings...actually they're pirate versions i managed to find in sri lanka so no great loss, but will still miss the whipper snappers.
can't help but thinking the other two are pretty much finished whilst charlie will propb make a mint either selling music, or stuffing dead animals with his eye brow trimmings!

Agreed, Charlie and his eyebrow have a lot of millage left between them... but that eyebrow is destined for great things. (maybe it'll enter into politics and take over the tory party?)

A minute's silence? That's soooo last year. It has to be four minutes, at least.

Death: "Don't patronise me."

God, if they hadn't broken up someone would probably have bombed them to death. At least then they'd have have suffered a Final Death.

i fully expect to come in for some abuse by some music snobs who think that anyone who doesnt appreciate the musical genius of people like the stone roses needs to be banned from ever having an opinion about music, but so be it.

Musical snobbery? The stone roses? Fuck off. JS Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor is MUSIC. stone roses? Busted? Don't make me laugh.
