Snow!

The snow is incredible - and who said to me earlier that it never lies in St Andrews?

I know! It's great. A bit too wet of a variety for me and the air isn't cold enough. It'll melt by 9am, I think. But it was a really lovely gift for those of us up at stupid hours of the night/morning.

Incase you missed it (what WHERE you doing at 4AM??? What could be more important than playing in the snow???) Yeah, so Zombiesheep, Quarterstaff and myself did some early morning sledging on your behalf, just incase the snow didnt last till a more respectable hour.

Sorry about the quality, but the camera was trying to focus on the snwo, and the night mode causes it to have a long exposure, for which it is difficult to keep it steady. Yuo get the idea though!

It did come as a bit of a surprise this morning - I didn't think it was nearly cold enough for it last night.

Well it's still here and doesn't look like it's going to melt any time soon. I slipped in it on my way to my lecture this morning haha so I gave up and came home. Now, do I go to my 10am or not?

[hr]I'm a little pea... I love the sky and the trees.

I HATE snow !!!! even more so when it has turned to slush like it has this morning. Stupid me also left my window open all night with one of my speakers on the window ledge, was soaked when I got up this morning. I hope it is ok, it is a brand new set of speakers.

Thanks Andy and David for the sledging - it was good fun! Plus, most of it is gone now, so we got to do what no-one else here did!!

My God. I only JUST realised there is snow outside. I looked at this thread and thought, what the heck are they talking about? looked out the window, and hey presto, there IS snow. Bummed I missed it when it was better earlier now. *Grump*

there's still enough snow just outside town. my garden is still about 3 inches deep in snow. I went sledging on the hill behind safeway and in the fields behind my house this morning and there's still people there!
i kinda forgot to go to classes in case you hadn't guessed!

I just tried to drive through to Dundee and had to turn back near St. Michaels because the road was virtually impossible to get along. A car had spun off the road and into a ditch and I could barely keep control of my car. I've not seen snow like it in years, and it all happened almost instantaneously - even Leuchars was covered. Oddly, Dundee said they had nothing at all!

It came on really suddenly.

Now it seems to have all melted, though. Hmph.

*wants proper snow, dammit*
