What's your favourite coloquial expression?

Mine has to be 'braw' which signifies 'good' with strong connotations of food.
It narrowly defeated 'Glaiket' and 'Sleekit'.

And have the balls to blame this shit on me

So fucking blind to the damage he has done

Stocious - means very drunk. Banjaxed - broken/tired is another good one. Irish, maybe Northern Ireland, maybe Republic of Ireland, could be either

I should think so. "Dobber" and "Who are you lookin at?" should also be in there.

Here is a selection of my favourites from doric (although clairted might just be general Scots)

clairted - the state one would be in if you played a full game of rugby in a muddy field

foosty - sort of an Aberdonian version of minging but not really. Think of some food gone mouldy, enough that you don't want to even touch it to throw it out. That's foosty. But you can apply the word to people you don't want to go anywhere near.

muckle - much. Particularly good in the phrase "nae muckle cope, min", which means "not much use".

scunner - something frustrating, an exam question one can't answer, for example, is a scunner. If one is in the state of frustration caused by a scunner, one can be described as "scunnered". Or possibly "scunnert" if you've got the accent.

swick - to cheat in a particularly cheeky way, or someone who swicks. Someone who jumps the queue for the self-serve tills in Tesco is a swick.

and here's the best thing Asda's ever done:

I think 'baltic' is a pretty good one, said with the words 'It's fell' before and 'the night' after it in a dundee accent.

"Tumshee" - from Doric, meaning "Turnip".
As in "Ach, ye wee tumshee heed".

I'll second "baltic", and I'll add "ach", "aye" (or "eh" as it is in dundee) and "awa and raffle yer muffle", I have no idea what my muffle is, nor what it means to raffle it however.

Ooooh, a nice Dundee one I've heard on collections when I've been in the lion costume - "D'you want a cosy?" (Do you want a hug?)

When I worked in Aberdeen for the summer I didn't understand the whole adding "ken" to the end of sentences and thought that it was just a common name in Aberdeen...
