Alright these lib dems can piss right off. Fascism rules. Salvador Dali is a god. I think I should go to their AGM just to cause a fuckin' riot in the prison system as those panzies wouldn't know how to deal with a hardcore capitalist like me.

I agree, LibDems are mothercunters (not that I've ever heard that word before). I mean, lets start with tuition fees in Scotland shall we? I quote directly from the Scottish LibDem website:

"The abolition of fees for Scottish students is a triumph for Liberal Democrats and it proves that in power the Liberal Democrats stick to their principles and make the difference"

Abolition? If fees have been abolished, why do I have to pay them? What they mean is delayed payment. We still have to pay fees, just right at the end of our course. As I have heard it put, you go into McDonalds and pay before you eat, you go into a restaurant and pay after you eat - you're paying either way.

Liberal Democrats make me laugh even more than the Scottish Socialist Party.

Tuition fees have been abolished in Scotland. What you pay at the end of your degree is a graduate endowment. This is half the amount you would have to pay if you were paying tuition fees. Also the universities don't get a penny of it. It goes towards bursaries and grants for the poorest students. Once again the SNP come in ranting and raving but getting all the facts wrong!

By your logic we could abolish taxes if we called them "tackses". Just because its' got different name doesn't mean that it's been abolished.

Exactly Flayre. I concede that I will be paying less than if fees were paid annually, but given I have to take a loan out to pay this 'graduate endowment', it really makes no difference to me how I am charged. The claim that fees are abolished may be true, but they have been substituted also. Would anyone like to defend good old Charlie for missing the Terrorism debate so he could prepare to go on TV? And how about giving prisoners the vote? Does that make sense? These people are societal outcasts, being punished for breaking the rules we lay down. There is no basis for giving them the vote and in fact I find it offensive that the idea should be peddled by the LibDems, or anyone for that matter. You know what they say, 'In politics, being ridiculous is more dangerous than being extreme'.

Written Constitution and Proportional Representation ROCK ON!

hang on.. that's not what I meant at all. :P

I always like to watch the Commons debates and then listen to the stifled sniggers and groans as our friend Mr.30 pints a day gets up to speak.

Oh, great. I'm paying £2k (for which I'll have to take out another loan) in order to give money to poor fuckers like me! None of this benevolence came my way in the bygone era of 2001/02. Grrr.
