John Burnet annexe is the worst place. The annexe is CRAP and the rooms are like cupboards, and the friendly atmosphere is non-existent and VERY clique!

So much rage from one person. Most distressing really. JBH in general is a great place. The annexe is slightly removed from the main hall life but as with most things life there is what you make of it. I haven't heard any complaints from the people I know who live there.

I'd say that is where JBH exiles all the freaks, but a bunch of my closest mates have lived in the past. The vodka parties are great.

i live there now. its nice. get your own shower and toilet. rooms aren't that small, just enough. upstairs is also the warmest place in hall in the winter and nice and cool in the summer. it is detached from hall if you don't want it to be. a lot of the people in the annexe this year, as with amny of the rpevious years, spend the majority of their time in main hall. this is where you will meet everyone. if you want to have some time to yourself, then you'll have the annexe to go back to. JB is the best there is so you'll have a great time.

Well it's part of JBH so that's a good start. It seems reasonably quiet most of the time but there are a fair few parties there. It's def. possible to get involved in main hall social life though it is a little bit isolated. But that can be a good thing, like when u don't have to get up for the main hall fire alarms! (Am a little bitter as we had one last night, grrr). The rooms are fairly small but the bathroom part is nice enough. Also, the kitchens are big. Bit pricy though, specially next year.

All I'd like to say is what is with the large Chinese population in the annexe. And by the way, Sang Yung, you need to pay your hall subs.

about the bathrooms- what does "nice enough" mean? Are the rooms like the New Hall rooms?

Nice enough as in quite small but clean, modern and with enough space to move around with reasonable ease. They are quite similar to the New Hall bathrooms, maybe slightly smaller.

the annexe although the poor cousin of the main hall is still more banter than any other hall, just because it's attatched to main hall. we like to make fun if it but it can still piss all over all you other halls' banter. As for chattan, comeback when you have a sense of humour. or a tree.
