Napoleon XIV (aka Jerry Samuels) wrote and sang the song. The song is called "They're coming to take me away, ha ha"

Screaming Lord Sutch the, now deceased, former leader of the raving looney party also did a version if I remember rightly.

Timmy Mallett also did a version on his 1989(?) album 'Bomballurina...'

Could be the version you are thinking of?

"They're coming to take me away, ha ha" - suprisingly enough - by Napolean IV, aka Jerry Samuelson.

The hip hop song played on the BBC one DJ advert. It's bugging me, I don't know the lyrics ("burn/turn it up"??). Neone?

Here's more Lyrics...

I never ever saw the northern lights....
I never really heard of cluster flies...
I never ever saw the stars so bright...
In the farm house things will be alright...
Each betrayal begins w/ trust
Every man returns to dust....

"The hip hop song" on the advert.
Hmm - that's a little vague. Especially as the advert changes the tunes every week...

More clues please!

Timmy Mallett's parents used to live near me. They had a little mallet on their door. His dad was a vicar, and was even smaller than Timmy. I didn't think that was humanly possible.

Going back to the original subject...

What is that really high pitched song by Kate Bush which I can't make out any of the words to but love anyway? If it helps then in the video she's running about on a moor waving her arms about in true eighties style! Grr. Trying to find it on the internet (its the rebel inside of me)... have been rewarded for my hard work in my wonderful work place by being allowed to listen to Radio 2 at minimum volume. Oh the perks!!
