Alex Salmond Talk - More Details

[Zombie Sheep]

Just to expand on the details in the calendar for tonights talk. The talk is titled 'Make Scotland Matter' and will be followed by an open question and answer session where attendees will have the chance to quiz the Scottish National Party leader. The tickets are priced £2 for SNPsoc or SNP members and £3 for everyone else - students and the public. They are available on the door, which opens at 7:30pm, with an intended start time of 8pm.

And even though its on the calendar, it is in Lower Parliament Hall. This is where the debates are usually held, right next to the entrance to St Mary's Quad (the Bute etc) and directly opposite Laffertys.

I thoroughly enjoyed Alex Salmond's address and it certainly gave me food for thought. It's nice to see a politician be so engaging and down-to-earth...not that it means I believe everything he says P

I was, however, more than a little distracted by the absolutely stunning guy with dark hair sitting in the back row on the right next to the aisle. I have no idea who he is or if I'll ever see him again but I think I'm in lust...

I'm sad to have missed the talk, but unfortunately I decided to show my Scottish national pride by going to the Scores Hotel and drinking copious amounts of whisky with the Quaich Society instead.

He does, however, seem to be a genuninely nice chap: I was lucky enough to meet him on the evening of election day, when I was judging the final of a schools debating competition. We got to talking afterwards, and he seemed rather pleased when I told him that as a unionist, I was disappointed when he regained the leadership of the party

Ah Iain, you missed a brilliant night. We did it all. Defended the rights of the disabled in the union, went to a KK party (with no drink). Enjoyed gourmet fayre at the 24hour garage.
