Changing names on may ball tickets

Postby p1neapplekitten on Thu May 05, 2005 11:14 am

What if you\'ve bought a may ball ticket and you can\'t go for a good reason and decide to give the ticket to a friend instead, would it be possible to change names on the ticket?

I\'ve heard that you\'re not allowed to swap or sell them on because each ticket bought has your name saved to a database to the corresponding ticket.

No idea, sorry, but I have a question too - were we supposed to get some folder or something in order to get the wristband on the day (and how?). And if you didn't are you likely to be one of the people who miss out because the KK (allegedly) sold too many tickets?

People are so stupid - if you bought your ticket outside the library, you'd have it. If you ordered it online and asked for it to be delivered, you'd have it (theoretically).

If you ordered it online and DIDN'T ask for it to be delivered and are wondering why you don't have it, you're a fucking moron. It said at least twice on the website you needed to pick it up.

Outside the library 11-1.

I think that anyone who doesn't realise that they need to pick it up needs a head-check.

Because of various security measures it is likely if the names do not match then you will not be able to pick up your band. If anyone is thinking about buying one it might be useful to know there is a chance you won't get in having wasted a lot of money.

KK told me there is no problem changing the details if you go to pick up the wristband with the person who originally bought the ticket.

Part of the reason the KK dont want you to change is because they asked for major allergies etc in case something goes wrong and they dont want the info to be inaccurate if something did happen. I gave my opening ball ticket to a mate cos i cudnt go and it was fine, i didnt go with him but they called me to check i had given it him he hadnt stolen/found it so it shud be no problem.
