Are there any traditions that students should observe around graduation time? I read in a book about st andrews that there is a tradition to offer a bottle of wine to a lecturer or something like that. Is there any such thing?

If any of my students want to do that, that would be absolutely fine.

Hmmm, thinking about it I suspect that the book I saw that in was probably sponsored by lecturers ;)

Jump on the PH (of Patrick Hamilton) outside United College. You've avoided it for four years, as standing on it "makes you fail your exams", but now you have the piece of paper to prove you have passed!

I wouldn't do it if you returning to attempt another degree - you might "fail" that one!
