wireless modem router

okay, this might sound a bit silly but i want to ask anyway... if you want to use your 2Mb broadband with a wireless modem router, does the speed of the router itself matter? because numbers such as 108Mbps for routers seem a bit obscure...

Use wirless g, that will ensure maximum speed. g is faster than your broadband, though it can only go as fast as the connection you are sharing.

Your broadband = 2mbps
Your router = 108mbps

You have nothing to worry about.

Well... unless your computer is an obscene distance away from the actual router because distance tends to cause the speed to drop and an increase in package dropping...

That is the speed of the wireless connection. Your router should be able to take full advantage of whatever speed of broadband you have at the moment- but this could change in the future as speeds go higher.
