I'm going to be at the scout hut for the Fence records night thingy, far more interesting than that 'let's be enthusiastic about everything even if it's crap' idiot.

I'll be there!
I reckon it's going to be a great night - anyone who went to the Sara Cox gig should know that the Radio1 DJs know their stuff. Especially Mr Lowe!
Judging by the stuff he plays on his show, he knows exactly what music to play.

Yeah - really looking forward to it!

Absolutely! There's nothing like some generic indie bilge to get the crowds going!

Now now

Let's be sensible...I would just like him to be more journalistic, like your man Lamacq for example.

Zane Lowes enthusiasm for music is to be admired, even if it is a little tiring. If it were any other night, i'd be there too. But the Trailer Park beckons...

Oh well, just another thing I don't want to see at my Union.

IT SHOULD BE ALL ABOUT THE ALCOHOL.

The only thing Zane Lowe seems to be enthusiastic about is himself.

This is gonna be a big one!

I'm so excited about this night! Zane is apparently going to do over 2 hours himself on the decks. He's got a support DJ he's bringing with him from London and the night is going to be a blast.

Music wise it's going to be everything, from Franz Ferdinand to the Prodigy and from the Kaiser Cheifs to the Chemical Brothers, of course with a huge smattering of new music (see Artic Monkey's for a recent band propelled to fame by Zane). These are just a taster of what he's been playing in the venues so far in the tour and from what I've heard, the whole lot gets scratched and mixed together in a way you've never heard (or seen) before (the tech rider is pretty darn heavy).

Another thing I've been told is that Zane loves to get down into the crowd and party like the best of us, especially when a really banging track goes on. So I'm really looking forward to that, not that I fancy him at all! ;-)

ANOTHER thing I heard was that a lot of the tickets that have been sold so far have been bought by people from Edinburgh and Dundee, so there is people traveling from far and wide to see this one. I wouldn't be surprised if it hadnt sold out by 10pm on the night.

See you there!

I can't wait to see Zane, I've been listening to his show every night this week and if he plays anything like the music he has been on the radio, it'll be an awesome night!

Luckily I'm guaranteed entry as a member of Ents Crew, otherwise I'd be hard pushed to get a ticket this close to the gig - although I hear there's still some tickets left for sale.

Fingers crossed he drops the new Coburn track...

Oh not generic at all then... *rolls eyes* The latest sugababes album is "new", that doesn't really mean anything at all, does it?

How good was that last night???

Circle pits in St Andrews, and a DJ just getting really into the music he's playing.

And its nice to see a "celebrity" whose willing to hang out in the crowd afterwards to do photos and hugs.

well I had lots of fun! One of the best nights I've had in 4 years at St Andrews. Hope everyone who went to the thing in the scout hut had fun too! I do think I'm in love with Zane though. He's very very cool

I enjoyed it! I didn't really know what half of the music he was playing was...but it was a good night anyways. Not sure if that was because of the alcohol involved... It would've been great if there were more people there.

it was a good fun (and tiring) night!

but the Tubbs warm up DJ wasn't all that...
