psychology PS2001 Exam Help

Postby psychology student on Mon Dec 26, 2005 4:36 pm

Just wondered if any one who has already done 2nd year psychology would be able to help us

I know the format of the exam (Multiple questions and essays)

So just wondering if you could give us an idea of the type of essay questions we get especially for social psychology, and any tips on how to write a good answer!

and also-as we only get given 1 essay for abnormal, as we are doing 2 for social, how many do we get to choose from?

I'm not even sure if we get a choice for the essay questions :s

there's no choice for the abnormal psychology essay question, but it is very vague...

The second year exam is pretty easy. You can get away with just learning the lecture notes and still getting a good grade.

The essay questions are very broad - there will be something that you will be able to answer. Don't worry about it.

So can any one remember any of the questions that have come up in the past-especially for the social bit?

Maybe it's stating the obvious, but is it not worth checking out the past papers online?

Neither of my subjects in philosophy has past papers so count yourself lucky.

And also isn't this really more of an advice board type thread. I mean we really don't ned to be reminded about exams on the main board quite so much.

to be honest-exams are too important to arse about thinking what board to put them on.

I presumed more people would see it on this board, not everyone checks them all.

Just because its xmas, doesnt mean we ignore the exams-because its probably people like you who start the resit threads.

But I got my answers anyway so being on the main board worked.
