Snow!

Postby queen of scots on Wed Dec 28, 2005 9:59 am

No-one's posted an 'it's snowing' thread yet! And it's been snowing in St A a bit this morning, and a little last night too. Nothing's really laid in South Street and I've not yet ventured out to see whether there's anything in the rest of the town.

Of course, it's nothing compared to some of the other parts of the country...I'm a little apprehensive about my journey tomorrow, flying into Heathrow which should be fine but then going into Kent...which seems to have it pretty badly, according to my parents.

So what's the snow like where you all are?

And ooh, it's snowing harder now!

no snow up where i am. (30-40 miles north of inverness)

i've never understood why a bit of snow in England makes a big news story, it's not exactly an unexpected or unique occurence. we get snow up where i am quite often and it;s never in the news (apart from the local radio saying which schools are closed).

another place where the bbc is biased to England.

Grangemouth( between Stirling and Edinburgh) had a bit of snow last night, we now have ice lying on top of the snow. So going outside is now an extreme sport

Had a nice walk over in Culross yesterday and it started to snow while we were there. Didn't last long though.

You're not a fan of snow? Thats a bit of a shame - am about an hour from St Andrews, and its been pretty bad all day - the roads were terrible in Arbroath, but then I guess that serves me right for going to Arbroath, what a dump.

Cupar is covered in snow. I was in Dundee earlier too, and they have some as well.
