I have 300+ friends, but most of them added me!

BTW, Will, where's the 'Steve Savage' option? I thought all of your polls had to have 'Steve Savage' as one of the options, and in this case it would actually have been relevant, since if my spies are correct, Mr Savage has more Facebook friends than anyone else in the entire university!

In addition, I presume the question related to friends in St Andrews, rather than in total. I have a substantial number of friends called David Bean, as I know you do with people called 'Will Watson'; I believe we both got the idea from the same source (the young lady in question even started randomly adding people with MY name, then messaging them to explain who she was and why she was doing it - bloody medics, you're all insane).

Anyone else been playing this new Facebook 'game'? As you can see, all the cool kids are doing it...

In regards the person with most friends,
Perhaps the purpose of the 40+ cast of Mr Kane's A Midsummer Night's Dream was to gain more facebook friends. Though I think he already had a significantly high number before that so probably not.

Steve: I don't think whether you're a sabb or not is exactly the point - Mr Watson merely seems to have an unhealthy obsession with you when it comes to his polls. I think Lee's pole position may be a relatively new thing; I was assured that my information was correct at the time I heard it...

I really don't think I have the most facebook friends in St Andrews, so if anyone can find who does, please post it here.

Also, seth, I do not have a 40+ cast for Midsummer to get more facebook friends. It's simply an artistic thing (you'll see why during rehearsals) and anyway, I had most of them (and others who auditioned) on my list already, yourself included.

I do have 462 (I would like to hit 500 so feel free to add me!) but I am glad to say that I know most, if not all, of them. Perhaps not to go out with for coffee every week, but people I would say hello to in Tesco, ask them how things were going if I saw them in the street, or saunter over to if in a bar. A lot has been said, and written, about my friends list, and how I must be some sad loser to have so many facebook friends. Think that if you wish, but I certainly don't believe it to be true. I am very happy with my social life, and the number of people I know/am friends with. Of course, as we go through life and meet more new people (one of my favourite past times- meeting new people that is) then I assume my friends list will grow normally.

And, for all you other people out there with more than 300 friends, please don't think of it as sad in any way, shape or form. Be proud of your list! We could make badges - "Proud To Be A Facebook Whore!".

You could work on the logic that you would happily buy your friends a drink in a pub, and thus having 300+ friends listed means that you are going to be very poor should they all appear in the same bar at once. And very wasted when they all buy you a pint in return.

Sod that. I only ever buy drinks for one of my friends and, handily, she only ever drinks water. Well, and the occasional cup of tea, but I can just about stretch to that...
