Great episode this week. Next weeks preview looks even more exciting.

And I was worried the series was going downhill after the really lame Charlie episode...

Actually, I just checked and there's yet another series break next week and, instead of a new ep they're showing the Pilot episode yet again.

Two weeks until we see what happens next. No fair!

this is purely a theory (not mine!)

from what i can remember, there are 5 (or 6) signs of apollo; one of which is the swan (seen in the logo of the hatch), there are also the arrow and another one (seen on the shark and the other hatch). I remember seeing the arrow appear on the clock, tho it went too quickly to see the rest.

the main crux of the theory is that there is more than one hatch, possibly 5 (or 6!).

lots of theories going around the net! have a google!

There are 6 hatches in total plus supply hatches (like the one the tailies found) according to one of the lost podcasts. The theory is that Zeke's 'others' have one of them, the barefoot others (as seen by the tailies) have another and the losties have a third. That leaves three unaccounted for and there is a story arc that the writers have written that lasts for 6 seasons (that would mean that it would finish after season 7) so there is plenty more time for the losties to find the other hatches. Plus by the end of season 2 we will find out why the plane crashed and what DHARMA stands for.

Oh man, thank god the clock finally ran down. I would never have pulled a Desmond.

I read somewhere that the symbols on the clock are in fact hieroglyphs that say somethig about dying, although that seems like a rather indirect way of saying it. I mean, there are a whole lot of causes to die on the island, it's not like it's a mystery.

Did anyone else catch the fact that the man captured in the forest called himself Henry Gale... Like Dorthy's uncle in the Wizard of Oz?

There are other references to the film and the book in the episode. The hot air balloon seems important (because it is possibly a clue that Henry Gale might be the Wizard character, or someone who represents the 'Wizard' on the island), and appears to point to the idea that it all may be smoke and mirrors. It just really reminds me of the whole "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" thing.

Its a big topic of discussion on Lost forums and I thought it was worth mentioning here.

I didn't think much to that episode at all, just like the last god knows how many, it raised more questions than it answered
