ER!!! It was a very emotional episode, full of even more drama than usual.

legion: Do you mean "Coast"? I saw that on BBC iMP a while ago, quite enjoyed a few episodes. St Andrews is featured in one of them, and Orkney another, so I quite enjoyed it for those reasons if nothing else.
I didn't watch anything on TV, but I did watch the Weird Al Yankovic film U.H.F. It cheered me up a bit, I do like Weird Al.

Same here, I was very happy to see that it finally focused on some patient drama instead of the soap opera-esque inter-doctor stuff...That's why I've been getting more and more into House.

Did you possibly miss the ending? It'll almost turn into a telenovela in the next few eps...

Ended up watching that programme on Channel 4, 'Cold Turkey', where a bunch of heroin addicts are put in a 24-hour surveilance 'clinic' and go 4 days without heroin or methydone - more like a bleak version of Big Brother i thought. Harrowing viewing - i didnt think they'd go as far as showing someone shooting up.
extreme stuff. on a lighter note, what did everyone think of the British representatives, John and Sinead Kerr, at the Winter Olymipcs figure skating? Dunno about any other natives out there, but when they skated out there all dolled up in tartan and dancing to 'The Porridge Men', i just cringed....

Well ice dancing, like girl's gymnastics and ballroom, is pure, 100% cheddar with distinctly more than a smudge of glittery blue eyeshow and pink blusher. Given this their performance was only mildly cringworthy. Did you see the Italians? She looked ready to throttle him at the start of his routine then they had made it up by the end... awww... Seriously though, they should all be dressed in regulation top-to toe black and issued with a blotted of the correct foundation for their skin tone, some mascara, and nothing else.

that italian girl deserves better, you cannot skate comfortably with someone if you don't trust them to not drop you.
my personal favourites on the ice will forever be Gwendal Peizerat and Marina Anissina, a French duo of Figure Skating notoriety - c'mon, there's something special about a couple when the it's the girl that's lifting up the bloke on ice - check out this thumbnail:
