I kind of wish I didn't sleep in today somehow. Oh well, got a nice surprise when I woke up. :) Got a driving lesson in a bit though, which could be fun in the snow...

Driving in snow is a pain in the ass. Moreso if you dont bother to properly clear your car before you set off, its like driving a pillbox.

I daresay there'll still be time for him to cancel it... so far, I've heard nothing though, so I'll assume things are still on. Should be fun to some degree or other, anyway. :)

They cancel driving lessons if it's a bit snowy?
How do you learn to drive in snow then?

It's not hugely common, and because of that, we get to do lots of fun things we don't usually get to.

Some guys were building an enormous snowman on the bridge of the Old Course. it looked really impressive. Then some security people made them take it down. But, of course, the 4-ft-wide balls were so packed and huge that in rolling them out of the way they became so big they could no longer move them :-D

Hmm, I've seen a couple of snowmen around Albany Park today, indeed. Yours is one of the better attempts methinks. ;)

Through your own experience I guess... mine was indeed cancelled today. A shame in a way, would have been a bit more interesting than usual. :)

Awww, I thought it was quite a sweet email actually...Didn't get it till 5.25pm tonight - after I'd been in a snowball fight and fallen on my backside on the ice 3 times - but nonetheless appreciated the thought :)

Is it bad that I saw the e-mail before I opened the curtains and looked out of the window to see that it was indeed snowy? ;<

Wow, thanks so much for the photos. It never snowed properly the 4 years I was at St Andrews, so it's great to see what it looks like now, even though I'm not there. Plus, it's a lovely reminder for me who is missing St Andrews so much as I'm stuck in in f*cking Plymouth doing a post-grad. *Sigh* I can almost forget I'm not there with you guys any more. *sniff* Lovely pictures. Especially that one from New Hall, where I lived for 4 years. Really brings back the memories.

Where were you? You were in the year below me and I can tell you for a fact there was some epic snow in my 2 - 5th years in St Andrews, you must have been in bed with one of your mighty hangovers those days :D Post grads aren't that bad, are they? Im enjoying mine (although Edinburgh is slightly closer to St As than Plymouth is, I guess) and it means we get to do ace thesis projects involving mice, radio tracking and small islands.
