No British SATs are completely different to the American ones. Don't quite understand the British ones but the American ones are basically tests you sit and use as college entrance qualifications.

In answer to the original poster's question I got 1350 (so not particularly impressive) for SAT I and for SAT IIs I got 790 (Molecular bio), 760 (ecological bio) 595 (Math IC) enh and i can't remember what I got on Chemistry.

I got 750 verbal and 510 math :( . I sort of freaked out on the math part. I felt fairly confident about the verbal, but math has been my achilles' heel, so when I hit that section, i psyched myself out to the point where I skipped questions involving multiplication because I suddenly wasn't sure if * meant times. Completely stupid. I don't even want to talk about the SAT II. Suffice it to say I fell asleep during the test. Anyway

But this is of course the old SAT test, not the new one.

And I concur, school's just a ticket and doesn't teach you anything when it comes down to it.
So someone asked me "What is it you do?". I thought about it for a minute. Then I thought about it a little more. All the while I probably looked like I was staring in to space, struggling for an answer. And I was. There was only one response I could really give.

"I make sure the shit stays off the fan."

1470 for my SATs under the old format. 780 Verbal, 690 Maths I think.

My parents were shocked, but according to other testing done at my school my brother and I are freakishly good at standardised testing.
