This thread is for all the things people would like to say, quick discussions people would like to have, and random fragments of life people would like to post, but which do not merit starting a whole new thread. I've found it an immensenyl popular thread on other boards. For example:

The latest poll (on God) has a really clever gradation of options, don't you think?

Yes, but it doesn't have that all-important "I believe there is a God and he/she/it/ze is EVIL" option, which is a legitimate philosophical standpoint.

I believe in one god, the father almighty. but I think his position should be elected every five years, and be answerable to an elected house of lesser deities.

Now some people weren't happy about the content of that last post. And we can't have someone not happy. Not on the internet.

The thing that really irks me is that people actually buy white bread. White bread is absolutely useless. It’s got no redeeming qualities, unless you like feeding seagulls. It has no taste. It just sticks to the roof of your mouth and in between your teeth. For the same price, people can buy whole-grain, yet many choose not to. For some inexplicable reason, enough people deliberately buy white bread to justify stores restocking the shelves with it each morning. Who exactly are you weirdos who keep such a worthless product in such high demand?!

Wholemeal bread makes crap toast.

Warburton's Seeded Batch (and Tesco's multigrain batch, for a fraction of the price) make excellent sandwiches and toast.

Decent white bread tastes lovely. Make it yourself, or buy the stuff that costs more than 9p a loaf...

Why was there never a Tekken-style Buffy the Vampire Slayer beat-em-up game?

Why does food taste better when you don't have to pay for it?

There was for the colour version of the Game Boy. It was fun except for the small problem that, as you'd expect, fighting vampires in the dark led to a very dark screen and it was very hard to play the game properly.

Are we talking deathmatch beat-em-up or adventure beat-em-up? 'Cos I was thinking of the deathmatch style.

Right, there's a lot of shit been spoken here about brown bread not making good toast. These are filthy lies. Just let the toast cool down, and then spread. Nice and crispy, it tastes the baws.

Though plain loaf is a much more quality toast. Piping hot and drowned in spread - this combination practically gives me a semi...

Conversation between three English temp workers.

Temp 1: You know what, it's the bloody immigrants that cause the problems in this country.
Temp 2: Yur.
Temp 3. Yur.
Temp 1: They take all of our jobs, and the government gives them bloody housing and cars, for God's sake.
Temp 2: Yur.
Temp 3: Yur.
Temp 1: You know what I'm going to do? I'm so sick of it, I'm going to emigrate.
Temp 2: Yur.
Temp 1: To Portugal.
Temp 3: I like Portugal.

There we are. The solution to immigration is emmigration, seeing as immigrants are such a pain, we need to combat them by becoming emigrants ourselves. Bloody immigrants.
Thought begets Heresy; Heresy begets retribution.
