21st Birthday...

Postby Lau on Sun Sep 10, 2006 11:11 am

What can I get someone for their 21st? It's for a guy, I want something he can keep, nothing tacky though, but can only really afford about £10.00. Any ideas?!!

all depends how close you are with them. if you're just friends, buy them a drink. :P
if they dont drink, get a cd or a film.
if youre more than just friends, i'm sure they understand that you cant afford to spend lots of money on them.

remember, it's the thought that counts, not the financial value of the gift.

a night with a hoooker in dundee (and change left over for the bus home).

I'm sure a crate of beer would never go down wrong, or a a bottle of some weird spirits to that value.

If you have a few friends who also want to get him a present, join forces and buy him something really nice - for a friend's 21st, another friend and I pooled our funds and got him a pocket flask and had it engraved.

For some reason I read that as "a cod" rather than as "a CD", which seemed an odd, if memorable, birthday present.

buy them a toy. Go into a toy shop and buy them something really cool that they couldn't buy for themselves for fear of seeming childish...

get pics of him, you and all your friends, and print them off on the computer (black and white is better), then make a collage for them. Its the kind of present that hads thought put into it, and he will have it foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Fest 'n' furious in dundee, very cheap tickets to see Scottish bands. If they like Scottish bands.

http://www.festnfurious.com/ I understand it won't be to everyone's tastes, but look at the ticket prices! Plus, gig = awesome bday present, ya

Good use of au contraire, very Blackadder, and I think Stephen Fry would definitely agree.

I thought it was common knowledge, I mean it makes sense, we've being playing with those things since before we can remember of course we have more idea about what feels good.

I just got back from Biarritz with a group of mates, and we gave the guy who organised it a frozen salmon as a thank-you. I think he left it in the freexer of the villa, the ungrateful bastard.

(We also gave him whisky and the aforementioned childish toys.)
