when are exam results out

I don't know if all departments are having examination boards, where all staff have to approve of the results for all students for the modules hosted by that department - but as far as I know, some of those examination boards aren't until the middle of the coming week. My best guess would be Wednesday or Thursday, I don't think there'll be much happening before then.

The academic calander says that results are out to students on (or by?) the 1st Feburary, this Thursday.

May sound very stupid, but where do we get these results ?? If they are to come up by thursday, we first years havent heard of anything yet !!

They turn up on your Student Record Card in the Undergrad portal, here:

I first misread this thread as 'the stupid and the obnoxious'. Thinking I would find myself quite at home, I instead discovered that it was in fact nothing of the sort. This was both stupid of me and would be obvious to anyone who cared, which is why I am posting this, just in case you do.

In addition to this, what is particularly stupid and obvious is the Sun. This is an unthinking entity (to my knowledge, at least)which makes it stupid, and is also the reason why day-time on this planet is so very bright, making it obvious. It is even more obvious because if you look straight at it, it is blinding. This also makes it stupid, because this is Not Nice.

Overall, I would say that both the stupid and the obvious are inevitable elements of day to day live, and are best overcome with a broom. Failing that, use a brick.

I thought the grades were posted on Webct coz there's like a wee thing there that says 'you have no new grades' but yeah turns out it is on the student portal. As usual we don't get told this, we're expected to be intelligent enough just to know.

The WebCT grades bit is used for continuous assessment marks but not by all the departments as far as I know.

Don't the first years get a handbooky thing of some kind that says the grades get put up in the portal? I know I didn't have the sinner back in my first year but yet i was sitting obsessively thinking about checking my record card :-P

I am, but only because over the last two weeks I've accidentally developed the world's worst sleeping pattern and I now can't seem to break it. But it's perfectly normal to go to bed at 3am and get up at lunchtime everyday, right? Shit.

I'm in the USA right now, so it's only 8pm... I seem to remember my results turned up by about 3am last time, so I'll maybe get them before the night is out! *twitches nervously*
