Anyone know why there were lots of people standing on the street looking at the sun (tabloid, not in the sky) today?

That means that the moon is eclipsed, not the Sun. This happens at night. Tonight in fact. Go enjoy the show - a red moon around midnight.

(not actually true either. Gubbins sneaked in a MSc while I wasn't looking)

Although I do suspect that Rob was being a little sarcastic there. Not sure why. Clearly not everyone knows about eclipses.
