Freestyle bmx bikers?

Postby inshaala on Wed Apr 04, 2007 1:29 pm

I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who is a biker - meaning doing stunts and stuff on a bicycle. There is a photo competition on a site i post on titled "Bicycle" and i wanted to take a few shots of in action bikers/bmx'ers (or whatever name they go by). Plus it would give me a good excuse to get some cool shots of the sport and if you are the biker you get to keep the shots for your own personal enjoyment of "look at me being X-treme" (you dont win anything in the photo competition btw so i'm not cheating you). If you can wall ride that would be a bonus ;)

So if you are or know someone who does this please get in touch by posting here or contacting me at rsm3

I'm an avid amateur photographer for those who dont know. I havent done any photography in this style before but if you wanted to check out some of my photos then go to my website:

So long and thanks for all the fish
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you all but oh dearrrrrrrrrrrrrr

You may not share our intellect,
Which might explain your disresepct
For all the natural wonders that
Groooooooow around you
So long, so long, and thanks for all the fish.

The world about to be destroyed
There's no point getting all annoyed
Lie back and let the planet dissolve around you.

Dispite those nets and tuna fleets
We thought that most of you were sweet
Especially tiny tots and your pregnant women
So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
So long, so long and thanks for all the fish

If I had just one last wish I would like a tasty fish
If we could change just one thing, we would have learned to sing
Come one and all
Man and Mammel
Side by side in life's great gene pool

So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
So long, so long, so long, so long, so long
So long, so long and thanks for all the fish

enlightening... but really quite irrelevant. Is St Andrews so uncool that there arent any skaters out there? or people who know of skaters - there is a skate park, so where are you all?

I'm not a skater but I am interested in knowing just where this skate park is in St Andrews.

That "skatepark" is for little kids. St Andrews is not really welcome to skaters. It;s also that you cannot really skate outdoors here because it is usually wet and rainy.

Skate park:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=st+andr ... 14591&om=1

see where nelson street comes to a T-Junction next to Pipeland Rd? Well is in that blank space to the right of that junction as you look at the map.

I think i might just hang out there on sunday and see if any of the locals i have seen there on occasion are actually any good...

Fork You is hilarious, by the way.

And the other pictures are great. I like Salvation.
It all reminded me of how beautiful St Andrews really is. Sometimes I'd forget and force myself to go for a walk.

I was going to do something similar and stay after graduation for the summer, but for now i suppose i will have to do it on my few days off before i go away for good... i've already got a few decent ones i think.

But yeah, that is going slightly OT... sk8rs anyone?
