Royal Mail being really slow lately?

I was just wondering about this, seeing as I'm still waiting on my postal vote.

I'm getting mail which has the date on it as two weeks beforehand, like today I got a letter 2nd class from David McLetchie (my local MSP, election junk) which is dated April 10th and it's only just arrived. Same goes for my postal vote, my mum forwarded it up from home and she keeps telling me it should have arrived by now (this was Tuesday when she first said that). Friday... nothing. And it was meant to be first class.

This has happened to be quite a lot lately, mail being late and unexpected. Is it just me, or is there something screwed up somewhere along the line?

I posted first class yesterday afternoon to Heriot-Watt in Edinburgh and this morning I recieved an email saying they had recieved my letter. I feel that is unbelievably fast, so perhaps it is just you, sorry.

Having said that though, we are still waiting for a long overdue electricity bill to arrive.

Our postal votes arrived today - although they were only coming from within Fife. I thought the post had gotten quite slow around the Easter period, but it seems to have picked up again recently.

I got a letter today that was posted on tuesday by first class, so maybe delivery is a little slow.

But collections seem to be efficient as ever. I sent something first class to london yesterday afternoon and it arrived this morning.
