Lost Keys

Postby A Saint on Sat May 19, 2007 6:16 pm

I was out on friday night and now I have lost my keys, I was in the castle, westport and the bop at the union if anyone finds them please let me know. The key ring has my ford car keys on it and my room key, also it has an everton key ring on it so it should be pretty recognisable

I've also lost my keys at the bop - 5 keys on a plain keyring with a chunky yellow plastic thing on it. They weren't handed in - if anyone finds them, please let me know!

Bad news if your Ford has key-less entry as all someone has to do is point the key "remote" at cars until they find the right one.

Best report the loss to the Police just to be sure.

Letting you know would be a bit tough, wouldn't it, since the only clue to your identity you've given is that you aren't Kenny MacDonald, which doesn't really narrow it down much. Or are people supposed to let HIM know, and trust he won't either steal them or sue somebody? :P

That was me - I thought that people would just post here that they'd dropped them into the union or something.
But I found them in my bedroom last night, so the problem is solved anyway!

Lucky you I however am still looking for my keys and the union is being completely unhelpful.

Surely it isn't the unions fault you lost your keys, and if they haven't found them and no-one has handed thgem in I don't think there is much else the union can do for you.

I do hope you find them, as suggested before I would perhaps go to the police station.

How so? It isn't the policy of the institution to be unhelpful in these situations, I assure you. If they simply haven't found them then there is very little they can do for you; if on the other hand you've been dealing with one particular member of staff who is being personally unhelpful, have you tried simply asking someone else?

I suppose it is not the union being unhelpful but the porter he couldn't seem to care less about me finding them.

Good call, if the street sweeper found them, they'll probably be at the police station.

That's how my father in law's car was nicked from a gym. Broke into his locker, took his keys and pointed the remote at every Fiat in the car park! The thieves were caught but his car wasn't in a pretty condition.
